I Am SCREAMING!!!
I finished and posted my Skyrim Tarot several years ago. At the same time, I contacted Bethesda Softworks and asked for permission to publish it. I was told only Bethesda employees could submit artwork. Welp. Today, I was on Amazon, and damned if they didn't have a Skyrim Tarot for sale! The deck isn't published by Bethesda, and I don't see Bethesda's name anywhere on it. After a couple of Ativans and a hot bath, I sent a letter to Bethesda. It was petty, but as much grief as I went through over that deck--not to mention at least a dozen people wanting to buy it--and she just publishes one on her own? I. DON'T. THINK. SO! Oh, yeah, and mine is better. TTTHHHHPPPPTTTT!
Mother's Day and Good Advice for Budding Authors
To moms, stepmoms, grandmas, Mr. moms, and moms whose friends all call them "Mom" everywhere, happy Mother's Day. I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your children, grandkids, etc. Mine want to take me to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy on Sunday. My first thought was, "She does know I never leave the house, right?" And then I decided to leave the house. Yay me! Also, the hubby (:devchesscoach: ) had a song written for me. Here is a link, if you want to hear it. https://www.songfinch.com/stories/21f1f97a-824e-4ef6-82b2-6f86629f0edc So most of you guys know I love me some tutorials. I've done half a dozen, myself. However, I've recently discovered a guy on YouTube who makes me look like a six year-old, telling her toddler brother how to write a good limerick. His name is Brandon McNulty. He has published two books, neither of which I have read yet (but I will), called Bad Parts and Entry Wounds. I can't speak about those, but I can't gush enough about his YouTube channel. He
Chinese Fire Drill and Creepy Theme Park Book
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. The hubby and I saw the kids on Saturday and fun was had by all. Since then, we have done mostly nothing. We both have injuries, so we're trying to convalesce as well as we can. He's doing a great job, but I can't sit still for five minutes. There is still a lot of stuff to be done on the house, plus I keep changing things as I go. Hubby says I employ the "Chinese Fire Drill" method of decorating. My writing and art are that way, too. Insert eyeroll here. For those who don't know, a Chinese fire drill is when you stop at a red light and everyone in the car gets out and runs around it, then gets back into the car a different seat. It's a really goofy prank, but it's actually kind of hilarious. That said, I have made a decision to change my Whisper Tarot cards. Again. I went for photorealistic, and honestly, some of them are kind of blah. So I'll see what I can do to make them a little more mystical.
Hello, frens and fam
Still here, I promise. I've been going through some stuff (always), so please forgive my absence. I'm working on a lot of stuff right now, including a new Whisper Tarot card, some freehand stuff, crafts, and a sequel to The Order of the White Guard. If we do it right, it may turn into two sequels. Cross your fingers. In any case, I should be posting new content very soon. RIP to Nichelle Nichols, Olivia Newton-John, and Bernard Cribbins. The ladies shaped my childhood, and the gentleman shaped my adulthood. I'll miss them all terribly. Love you all. Whisper Harley would say hi, but The Lion King is on.
